What you would never expect from that movie is the realism of violence and the tension that it brings. The story starts like a bit unordinary friendships between two 12 years kids Owen and Abby played by Kodi Smit-McPhee and Cloe Moretz. Only later you understand that this strange girl is actually 250 years old vampire with great hunger for blood. She kills without mercy and only one living creature – Owen makes her feel something else. That boy who is always beaten and bulled in school is not that good as he looks ate the first glance and his enormous loneliness reminds Abby about her own. They get closer and closer but Owen doesn’t even realize what kind of friend he managed to found. The whole truth about her story is only revealed in the end of the films and it would definitely make you surprised.
